In Japanese, “yaki” means grilled or fired, and these small vegetable and meat skewers are a summertime favorite. For a more traditional flavor, cook over a charcoal grill – shrimp, snap peas, mushrooms, brussel sprouts, okra, cauliflower, broccoli, or any meat & vegetable works!
Skewer choice meats & vegetables on small skewers
Dip each skewer in tare sauce, place on grill. Continue to brush skewers with tare throughout cooking process.
Grill until desired doneness.
Top with chopped scallions & sesame dressing
Tare recipe:
Combine 1/4 cup sake, 1/4 cup mirin, 1/2 cup soy sauce.
